How did you approach being a captain?
I tried to be consistent. Guys can handle demanding — they can't handle unpredictable.
What was the hardest part of retiring?
Losing the routine. You wake up in February and there's no game to prepare for. That's where the alumni network really helped.
What are you working on now?
Coaching and player development, plus staying connected with the alumni for events and youth clinics.
